1. Request deletion inside the app
If the app provides account creation, first use the account deletion option available in the app, normally in Account, Profile, Settings or Privacy. Follow the confirmation steps. The app must provide a readily discoverable in-app path where account creation is supported.
2. Request deletion outside the app
You may also contact the developer using the active support email/contact method shown on the relevant app's Google Play store listing. Use the subject line “Account and Data Deletion Request — [App Name]”. In your message, provide:
- the name of the app;
- the account email, username or other identifier needed to locate the account;
- a clear statement that you request deletion of the account and associated personal data; and
- any additional information reasonably needed to verify that you control the account.
Do not send your password, full payment-card details, identity documents or other sensitive information unless the developer specifically explains a lawful and secure verification process.
3. Processing and verification
The developer may take reasonable steps to verify the request and protect accounts from unauthorized deletion. After verification, the developer will process the request within the time required by applicable law and platform policy. If additional time is needed or a request cannot be completed in full, the developer should explain the reason and any available next steps through the contact method provided.
4. What may be deleted
Where applicable, deletion may include the account profile and personal data associated with that account that the developer controls. If the app uses third-party services, cloud providers, advertising services, payment providers or backups, some information may be separately processed or retained by those providers under their own policies and legal obligations. The developer will provide or direct you to the relevant provider's deletion controls where appropriate.
5. Limited retention
Some records may be retained where required or permitted by law, for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or compliance with legal obligations. Any retained information should be limited to what is necessary, protected against unauthorized access and kept only for the applicable retention period.
6. No account feature
If the relevant app does not offer account creation, users generally do not have an app account to delete. Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored data from the device. It does not necessarily remove data previously shared with Google, an advertising provider, an app store, a cloud service or another independent third party. Refer to the Privacy Policy and the provider's own privacy controls.
7. Contact
For help with a deletion request, use the active developer support contact displayed on the app's Google Play store listing. Always identify the app and avoid sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
